Centralia Store Closing - Jay's Running For Congress

What a strange trip it has been. I wouldn't change a thing.

In 2020 Smokin Js had five physical retail locations. At the end of April we will be down to just one. The adventure for me started in 1997 in Vancouver Washington, and it will continue in Olympia Washington moving forward.

The Centralia Smokin Js location was opened in 2009. In that time we survived a few China Creek floods, and a landlord who fled to South America to avoid taxes. The whole time we brought smiles and smoking accessories to the community.

Centralia has a unique culture and style. We at Smokin Js were proud to contribute and participate in the Centralia cultural mix for 15 years.

But life moves on and tough decisions have to be made with positivity at heart. Centralia is a short drive to our Olympia location on Pacific Avenue. Come see us, we'll be open seven days a week waiting to serve you.

Covid, and the reaction to it, had an amazing impact on all our lives. For me, it brought clarity to the need for me to volunteer in our political structure. Closing four out of five stores has been a process of freeing my ability to focus full time on volunteer efforts.

My work with the Eric Boerner campaign for President of the United States was an amazing experience. We toured Iowa, South Carolina, and New Hampshire. I worked the phones in six other states. We suspended the campaign in August of 2023 after he failed to make the debate stage.

The Centralia Smokin Js store will be closing on April 20th permanently. This is expected to be the same date the Washington State Republican Party endorses my run for Congress in 2024.

The neat thing about sizing down the retail footprint to focus on missions in service to others, is the fact that the team will be more focused on creating an amazing destination retail experience at the Olympia store, and continue excelling at order fulfillment through the retail website.

The downsizing is over. Now the Smokin Js team will get back to innovating and creating unique experiences and products for your smokin lifestyle.
